THE REFLECTION OF BLACK BOX IMAGES

The insight I have gained from the first image is that darkness and shadows could be one of the essential elements of a whole piece of design. The darkness and shadows are usually something that the designers want to ignore or avoid when they are trying to design something. The designers often apply any kinds of light on their pieces to cover up the dark areas. However, those pieces may look very “flat” without those dark areas. As reflected by the first image above, we can see that those dark parts and shadows create the third dimension for the image and give the image a “depth” so that the drawing can “jump out” from the paper. Hence, as you can see from the image above, the darkness and shadows make a great contribution to getting rid of the “flatness” of a design. I have applied the idea that using the dark areas and shadows to show the depth and different layers on my work below and I use the light quite carefully to avoid the consequences that the whole building is covered by strong light and no depth and layers of the model can be realized.

The second image reflects that the structure which consistes of several frames(or fences) divides a block to several parts which provides more dark areas and shadows. And I have used this structure to design my briging space so that it can be an "open space" as well as a big briging room.
